Millennium High School band competed in Washington DC on Columbus Day.The performed well at the competition receiving 2nd place honors behind Woodridge High School from California.During their time in Washington the students were able to visit the Smithsonian, Holocaust memorial, Arlington National Cemetery, The White House (Special Thanks to Senator John Kyl and his office for arranging this trip), Lincoln Memorial, WWII Memorial, and a Riverboat dinner.FED EX Corporation was amazing and transported all the instruments to and from the competition. Thank you to everyone who made this trip possible.This was a trip that will make lifetime memories for all involved.
